DISTRICT HALL MAYOR & COUNCIL COUNCIL MEMBERS & CONTACTS
Welcome to Agassiz!
We welcome you to the growing community of Agassiz: the Corn Capital of B.C. The visitor information centre is located inside the Museum at the northwest end of Pioneer Park.
The town site has won a “Communities in Bloom” award and is surrounded by beautiful scenery, well maintained homes, farms and businesses. Agassiz has a thriving service sector with a supermarket, green grocer, and health food store. There is a medical centre, a dentist office and a pharmacy. There are several garages, a tire shop and an auto parts store. There is a lumber yard, hardware store and even two veterinarians to take care of your pets.
The town can be a starting point for hiking and bicycle tours, fishing and boating expeditions, bird watching, hang gliding, camping and golfing. The Pacific Agriculture Research Station is located across the railway tracks from the town. It’s arboretum of stately trees provide a relaxing commune with nature. The Kilby Historical Store and Farm is located in the Harrison Mills area, provides camping and boating opportunities and has a restaurant on site that specializes in home cooked meals.
Sasquatch Provincial Park located north of town provides facilities for boating, swimming and hiking at Green Point and at Hicks Lake.
If you need help or information please call the Municipal Hall at 604-796-2235 or SEARCH our web site.
