District Overview
The District of Kent is nestled between the towering Cascades in the Upper Fraser Valley where a few small communities reside together forming a population of just over 6,000. Our trade area reaches nearly 8,300 persons and situated only 116 km from Vancouver and 262 km from Kelowna, a 90-minute drive in any direction brings you to a total of 3 million people. Two highways, the Trans-Canada and CP Rail bring millions of visitors each year; some stop in for a visit, and others pass through. Industry, real estate, services, government, education, tourism, and trade can all be found here with undeveloped land serviced and ready to go. The District area covers approximately 230 kilometers square (89 square miles) or 23,000 hectares (56,834 acres) of land.
The District of Kent offers a lifestyle like none-other where you may ski, fish, swim, cycle, hike, and golf all in one day for under $50, or visit the area's most popular attractions such as Harrison Hot Springs, Minter Gardens, the Trans-Canada Waterslides, or Dinotown. Location & Population
Located in the Upper Fraser Valley, known as Rainbow Country, the District of Kent is not far from excitement. With two highways, the Trans-Canada highway, and CP Rail the District of Kent is very accessible with many transportation routes. Flying is also an easy option with Highland Helicopters in town, and the Chilliwack and Abbotsford Airports just down the freeway. Vancouver International Airport is a 90 minute drive.
